Important information! Dear friends, due to the difficult situation (COVID-19), the deadline for accepting applications has been postponed by 2 months. Registration of participants continues as usual.

Welcome speech by Paolo Pascolo, Chairman of the organizing Committee, to the participants of the competition.

Dear participants!

I’m glad to welcome you at our event – the competition of children’s drawings “Humanity inside the war”.

The purpose of the competition is to erase the borders in communication between people from different countries, to bring  the public that the memory of the past is necessary for understanding the present, as well as respect for memory, through the language of the heart, feelings and emotions.

The competition of children’s drawings “Humanity inside the war” is based on the historical story “What an amazing guy”, written by my father Ferdinando Pascolo.

Each of you will have the opportunity to prove yourself and your talents in this competition. Your pictures will be evaluated by our international highly professional jury, which you can see on the contest website.

It is a great honor for us all that the drawing competition is held under the patronage of UNESCO.

Within the limits of the contest each of you is given the opportunity to apply for participation. Applications are accepted until January 10, 2021, the results will be summed up at a ceremony and where 200 works selected by the jury will be presented by the exposition at a ceremony in Udine (Italy).

According to the results one of the last final rounds in Udine, an exhibition of the works of the International Children’s Drawing Competition “Humanity inside the war” will be held, where 200 works of participants will be exhibited, among which 20 winners will be selected in nominations and age category. At this event prize winners and winners of the competition will be noted and awarded.

I declare open the international children’s drawing contest “Humanity inside the war” and wish each of you good luck!

With respect,

Prof. Paulo Pascolo
